Glover's Cave : ウィキペディア英語版 | Glover's Cave Glover's Cave is a naturally formed cave in southern Todd County, Kentucky. Over 3.2 km of the cave have been surveyed.〔http://glaciercaves.com/html/caveso_1.HTM〕 The cave was used for many purposes since its discovery by native Indians. It has been found that Native Americans were inhabiting the cave from about 10,000 years ago until approximately 1,000 years ago. Col. Raymond C. Vietzen, an archaeologist from Ohio, performed extensive excavations with permission from the Glover family in the 1940s-1980s. He published ''The Saga of Glover's Cave'' in 1957. Previously known as "Bell's Cave", it was used during the American Civil War as a camp. Jesse James used the cave as a hide-out on his way to rob the Russellville, Kentucky bank.
